57.5 mm Standard Screen for La Marzocco

This is the everyday screen for La Marzocco groups: 57.5 mm across, with fine mesh over a drilled backing plate and a centre hole for the retaining screw. A worn or stained screen sprays unevenly and can leave sour and bitter notes in the same shot. Replacing it is one of the cheapest fixes for patchy extraction.

Care and replacement

Remove the screen during deep cleans and soak it in cleaner to lift coffee oils. When the mesh is torn, dented or permanently discoloured, fit a new one. Snug the screw evenly without forcing it, so the screen sits flat against the group.
