A wide walnut cap with rich, straight grain sits on a tapered stainless steel body here. The base has a single angled face, which moves coffee around the basket in one smooth sweep. It is sized for 58 mm baskets.

Engraved lines on the stainless body show how far the base is wound in or out, so you can repeat a setting after changing dose. The cap, ring and threaded base separate for cleaning. Walnut is a dense, stable hardwood that resists dents from everyday knocks. Its darker tone also hides coffee marks better than pale timbers, and a light wipe keeps it looking neat.
