This 58 mm palm tamper pairs a red anodised body with a stainless base cut in tight concentric rings. The rings leave a faint ripple on the surface of the puck, which some baristas like for how it looks after tamping and how evenly the water meets the coffee.

Collar-stop design

A knurled red ring forms the top grip and a smooth red collar sits below it. Turning the grip on its thread moves the ripple face up or down, and the collar meeting the rim marks the end of the tamp. It is a simple way to keep the bed height the same across a whole morning of shots.
