Italian 57.4 mm precision tamper

Some 58 mm group machines use baskets a touch narrower than standard, and a full 58 mm tamper can bind at the edges. This 57.4 mm base gives a little clearance while still covering almost the whole coffee bed.

The base is engraved Ø57.4 and Made in Italy, and the brown wooden handle with visible grain screws onto it on a threaded stud. The flat face is brushed smooth. It stands about 88 mm tall and weighs roughly 295 g. The handle is lightly stained so the natural grain still shows through.
