58 mm Palm Tamper – Walnut-Tone Wood Handle, Ripple Base

Timber-handled palm tamper

A turned wooden handle with a waisted profile sits on top of this 58 mm palm tamper, giving it a warmer look than our anodised models. The grain is dark and walnut-toned. Underneath, a stainless face machined with concentric ripples presses the coffee to a set depth.

Three-part construction

The tamper comes apart into the timber handle, a silver knurled aluminium depth ring and the threaded stainless base. Turning the ring sets how far the base protrudes; when the ring lands on the basket rim, the tamp stops. The waisted handle fits naturally between thumb and fingers.

Wipe the wood dry after use and keep the tamper on a tamper station. A little food-safe oil now and then stops the timber drying out.
