Setting up and cleaning the Arkadia pump

Screw the pump firmly onto the bottle and press the head a few times to prime it before making the first drink. Once it is primed, staff can agree on a set number of presses for each cup size, so a flavoured latte tastes the same whoever makes it. Keeping a pump on each flavour you use regularly saves time at the bar.

Wipe the nozzle at close so syrup cannot dry and block it. Between bottles, run warm water through the pump until it comes out clear, then let it dry before fitting it to a fresh bottle. This also stops flavours mixing when you move the pump to a different syrup.
