Replace a Worn or Lost Funnel

The funnel is the perforated basket that holds the ground coffee and sits in the boiler. If yours is dented, corroded or missing, the pot cannot build pressure properly and brews weak, uneven coffee.

Plain Aluminium Construction

Made from natural aluminium to match the original part, the funnel has a fine perforated base and a long tube that reaches down into the water. It is supplied on its own, without a ring or filter plate. A bent or corroded funnel can also stop the pot sealing evenly, so it is worth replacing at the first sign of pitting. Clean it with hot water only and dry it before storing.

Complete the Refresh

Fill the basket level without tamping and wipe the rim before screwing the pot together. A new funnel works best with a fresh seal, so consider the 6-cup gasket and filter plate set as well.
