Brugnetti Giulietta AV: programmed doses, café-grade hardware

Brugnetti has been building espresso machines in Italy since 1947, and the Giulietta AV is the volumetric version of its single-group Giulietta. A touch panel above the group stores your preferred shot volumes, so every double comes out the same size once you have dialled it in.

What the AV adds

Alongside the programmable buttons you get a built-in shot timer, handy for checking that each extraction lands in your target window. Brew and boiler pressure gauges sit on the front panel, and easy-tap levers open the steam wand and hot-water outlet.

Core of the machine

The traditional E61 group is fed by a rotary pump, while a 3-litre heat exchanger boiler supplies brew water and steam at once. Draw from the 2.5-litre reservoir, or connect to mains water if you would rather never refill. It runs on a standard 10 A single-phase outlet.
