60 mm E61 Shower Screen Cup, Large-Hole Plate

This non-welded E61 cup pairs a plain mesh face with a backing plate of larger, evenly spaced holes and a solid centre. It gives a strong, even flow and is a common original-style screen on many home E61 machines. Fit it whenever the old screen is blocked or bent.

Why replace the screen

Coffee oils slowly varnish the mesh, and grounds pack into the holes behind it, so water starts to spray unevenly. A fresh screen restores a uniform shower, which helps reduce channelling and bitter edges in the cup. Change the group gasket at the same time for a full refresh.
