E61 Group Service Kit: Screen and Gasket

The screen and gasket wear out together, so it makes sense to change them as a pair. This kit holds a 60 mm E61 screen with plain mesh over a large-hole plate, plus a standard 73 × 57 × 8 mm group seal. It covers the routine annual group service on most home E61 machines.

What you get

Fitting both at once means the new seal beds against a clean, flat screen, so the portafilter locks evenly. Remove the old gasket, drop in the screen, then press the new seal up behind it. Expect a firmer handle feel and more even extraction straight away.
