This Cadorna has a separate over-ice programme that brews cooler and slower directly onto ice cubes, giving a smoother, slightly sweeter glass. A coffee boost function and aroma control let you strengthen it, and two iced coffees can be made at once.

Fifteen drinks, hot or cold

Beyond the iced option you get espresso, ristretto, lungo, coffee, americano, cappuccino and cappuccino XL, flat white, café au lait, cortado, latte macchiato and its XL version, frothed milk and hot water. The integrated carafe double-froths milk and removes bubbles, runs an automatic clean, and can be chilled in the fridge.

Grinding and brewing details

Ceramic burrs offer ten grind steps, twice the range of the standard Prestige, and an aroma lid on the hopper helps keep beans fresh. Optiaroma chooses from five doses, pre-brewing opens up flavour, and a pull-out espresso tray brings small cups close to the spout. Four profiles store each person’s favourites, and the brew group lifts out for rinsing.
