Kees van der Westen Speedster Idro-matic: one group, many pressure profiles

Fitting the Idro-matic group to the Speedster turns a precise single-group machine into a tool for shaping pressure. Combined with its built-in pre-infusion lever, the group can deliver a soft, slow flow that fully saturates the coffee bed before extraction builds.

Commercial internals in a compact body

Under the 480 mm wide shell are an independently heated 2.1-litre brew boiler and a 3.5-litre steam boiler, both in stainless steel. Commercial PID control switches the elements through solid-state relays rather than mechanical contacts, giving quick, accurate heating. Water is driven by an external commercial rotary pump and motor, and the group runs a stainless solenoid valve with self-bleeding operation.

Hand-finished looks

The aircraft-grade aluminium side panels are milled, then painted in contrast colours you pick. The body comes standard in engine-turned stainless steel or crackle black powder coat, and the drip tray adjusts in height for different cups.
