Two Jobs, One Compact Box

Besides catching spent pucks, this knock box has a notched ledge at the front where the portafilter spouts drop through and the basket sits level for tamping. At 20 x 14 x 12 cm it puts a tamping station and knock box in one footprint.

Knock Bar and Construction

The body is folded black steel with screwed side rails that carry a rubber-covered knock bar with polished steel end caps. The bar lifts out for cleaning, and short feet raise the box slightly off the bench.
