La Marzocco GS3 AV: programmed shots, café stability
AV stands for automatic volume. You set how much water each button delivers, plus the pre-infusion step, and the GS3 AV repeats it every time. That makes it a natural fit for households where more than one person makes coffee and everyone wants the same result.
Inside the machine
One boiler feeds the group head and a second handles steam, each managed by its own PID controller. A rotary pump supplies brewing pressure around 9 bar and runs with far less vibration than a typical vibe pump. The machine accepts a standard 58 mm portafilter and can be connected to mains water or run from its reservoir, depending on your kitchen. Plumbing it in removes the chore of refilling, which many owners appreciate once the machine becomes part of the daily routine.
