Lujo Clean Coffee Machine Cleaning Powder – 500 g, Active Oxygen

Lujo Clean Coffee Machine Cleaning Powder

This tall 500 g tub is from Lujo Clean, a German maker of coffee machine care products. The label describes an active-oxygen cleaner for espresso machines and automatic coffee and drink dispensers.

How it works

Active oxygen helps lift dark coffee oil from the group, shower screen and basket. The label suggests about 3 g in the blind basket for a backflush and roughly 15 g per litre of hot water for a soaking solution. The flip lid opens one-handed, so it is easy to measure a dose straight from the tub. Keep the container closed and dry between uses, as moisture makes active-oxygen powder clump over time.

Where it fits

A good mid-size tub for home baristas who backflush weekly. If you need more for a café, the 900 g LF Coffee Clean is the larger option; for tablets see the Lujo Clean 120 x 1.3 g tablets.

Read our back-flushing guide first, and pick up a blind insert from the filter baskets range if you don’t have one.
