Two-Pole Toggle Switch, 16 A

A two-pole switch breaks both active and neutral when the machine is turned off, which is why many commercial and prosumer machines use one. This HY29E toggle is rated 16 A at 250 V, with a metal case, chrome lever and threaded bush. A failed switch means the machine will not power on or cuts out.

Heavier build

It has a metal shell and six spade terminals on the back, two rows of three. Label each wire before removing the old switch so they go back in the same positions. The bush mounts through a round panel hole and is held with a nut.
