Plastic handle with the smaller M10 thread
Not every portafilter uses the common 12 mm thread. This handle suits group handles with a 10 mm stud, so you can replace a broken or faded grip without buying a whole portafilter.
Classic bulb shape
It has the familiar Italian profile: slim near the portafilter, swelling into a rounded end that sits well in the palm. Gloss finishes clean up with a damp cloth, while the matt black version hides fingerprints. The handle is light, inexpensive and gives a quick colour change to a tired portafilter. Pick red or white to tell two portafilters apart on a twin-group machine.

Check the thread first
Unscrew your old handle and measure the stud or hole – M10 and M12 look alike. For the larger size see the M12 plastic handle, or for a timber look the walnut M10 handle. Spare filter baskets are worth checking while the portafilter is apart.
If the old handle will not budge, our Melbourne technicians can remove it and fit the new one.
