The Classic Silver Stovetop

This is the familiar octagonal moka pot in bare aluminium, the style found in Italian kitchens for generations. It brews about 300 ml of strong coffee, enough for six espresso-sized cups or two generous mugs.

How It Is Made

The boiler, funnel and upper chamber are cast aluminium, which heats quickly and evenly. A black heat-resistant handle and knob stay cooler to the touch, and a brass safety valve sits on the side of the base.

Using and Caring for It

Rinse with hot water only, as detergent dulls aluminium and flavours the next brew. When the seal wears, the 6-cup gasket and filter plate set fits this size. Prefer a coloured finish? The black, red or silver moka pot comes in 3 and 6 cups.
