See the milk temperature as you steam
A temperature strip on the lower front of this jug changes colour as the milk heats, with marks at 37, 40, 45, 50, 60 and above 70 °C. It takes the guesswork out of steaming without a separate clip-on thermometer.
Why temperature matters
Most milk tastes sweetest at about 55 to 65 °C; past 70 °C it starts to taste flat and cooked. The strip lets beginners learn where to stop, and it gives everyone in the house the same result. The jug itself is mirror-polished stainless steel with a pointed spout and an open wire-style handle.
