The safety valve is the last line of defence on a steam boiler. If the pressure switch sticks and pressure keeps climbing, this valve opens at its set point and vents steam before the boiler is put at risk.

Marked and Certified

The cap is stamped Nostral, CE, CAT. 1, BAR 1.8, DN 1/2 and TS -10÷250 °C, so the rating can be checked at a glance. The body is solid brass with side vent holes and a test pin on top.

Choosing the Right Valve

Always replace like for like: the thread and the pressure stamped on your old valve must match. Boilers with a 3/8″ port may need the 3/8″ 1.9 bar safety valve instead.
