Brita Purity C filter head

This is the head that every Brita Purity C cartridge clicks into. It sits on the water line to your coffee machine and lets you change cartridges in seconds without tools or turning off the water.

Set it for your water

The bypass can be set from 0 to 70%, so you can blend filtered and unfiltered water to suit your local hardness and the cartridge you use. A built-in flush and bleed valve lets you rinse a new cartridge before it reaches the machine, and the mounting bracket keeps everything tidy under the bench.

Which Brita filter do I need?

Every Brita Purity C cartridge clicks into a Brita Purity C filter head. Buy the head once; it stays on your water line and you only replace the cartridge. Then pick the cartridge by your machine’s boiler and your water:

Cartridge Best for What it does
Purity C50 Fresh Soft water, like most of Melbourne. Small espresso machines, office bean-to-cup and vending machines. Removes fine particles and anything that spoils taste or smell. Does not soften water.
Purity C Quell ST Espresso machines with copper boilers (most traditional café machines), plus combi ovens and vending. Reduces carbonate hardness to stop limescale, and filters taste and particles.
Purity C Finest Espresso machines with stainless steel boilers, and harder water. Reduces total hardness (limescale and gypsum) and chlorine for the best crema and taste.

Which size?

  • C50: home machines and small office machines.
  • C150: 1 group espresso machines and office bean-to-cup machines.
  • C300: 2 group café machines (our most common choice).
  • C500: 3 group machines and busy cafés.

A bigger cartridge filters more water before it needs changing, so it lasts longer between swaps. Brita recommends replacing the cartridge at least every 12 months, or sooner in busy cafés. Not sure which boiler your machine has? Call us on 1300 529 505 with the make and model and we’ll tell you.
