Why descale regularly

Scale coats the boiler or thermoblock and slows heating, so the machine uses more power and coffee comes out cooler and thinner. Running EcoDecalk through the descale program when the machine asks keeps temperature and flow where they should be. The bottle uses part-recycled plastic, and De’Longhi notes that a scaled machine can use noticeably more energy to heat. Descaling at the intervals your model sets also helps keep its warranty conditions met.
