Standard E61 Group Gasket, 73 × 57 × 8 mm

This is the everyday size for E61 brew groups: 73 mm outside, 57 mm inside and 8 mm deep. It has a flat sealing face and a single relief slot on the inner wall. Home machines from ECM, Rocket and Profitec all rely on it, so it is a good part to keep in the drawer.

When to change it

Once the rubber hardens, the portafilter needs more and more force to lock and may start weeping at the rim. A new seal returns the handle to roughly the six o’clock position and holds full pressure. Pop the old one out with a small flat screwdriver, taking care not to scratch the group.
