M12 plastic handle for commercial portafilters

A cracked or greasy handle makes daily tamping uncomfortable. This tapered handle screws onto portafilters with a 12 mm thread, the larger size used on most commercial groups.

Tapered grip with a removable cap

The body is moulded in a soft-touch matt finish and flares towards the end, where a push-fit cap covers the hollow core. A steel M12 stud is set into the narrow end so it threads straight into the portafilter boss. The snap-in cap can be removed for cleaning. It gives a lighter feel than timber and is easy to wipe down at the end of a busy shift.

Before you order

Measure the thread on your existing portafilter, as some machines use M10 – for those choose the M10 plastic handle. If you prefer timber, the walnut M12 handle uses the same thread. Complete portafilters are in our portafilter range.

Handle glued in place? Soak the metal end in hot water to soften it, or ask our repair team to swap it.
