Faema E61 Legend: the machine that started it
The Faema E61 was the first espresso machine to use a pump to hold 9 bar steadily through extraction. The E61 Legend 2 group keeps the original lines and stainless steel body while updating the internals. It is a semi-automatic machine, so the barista starts and stops each shot. Many baristas enjoy that direct feel, and the machine rewards attention to grind and dose.
How it works
Thermosiphon E61 groups draw hot water from the 11 L heat exchanger boiler to keep the heads warm. Faema’s patented thermal balancing system lets a technician fine-tune brew temperature. Two gauges show pump and boiler pressure, and the boiler refills automatically. The stainless steel body is easy to wipe down and wears well over years of service.
