Gaggia MDF 55: an Italian grinder for your home espresso
The MDF 55 is Gaggia’s newest grinder, built for home baristas who want café-style control. A brushed aluminium body, a red-marked stainless adjustment knob and a crisp touch panel give it a clean look beside a Gaggia Classic or any other home machine, and it is made in Italy.
Programmable doses, steady grind
The grinder works on demand and is doserless, so coffee goes straight into the basket rather than sitting in a chamber going stale. You can programme separate times for single and double shots, and a counter tracks every dose. A 310 W motor turns 55 mm hardened-steel flat burrs, while an anti-clumping system keeps the grounds fluffy and evenly distributed. The stepless micrometric knob gives total control, from espresso through to coarser brew settings. A metal fork with a rubber cover holds the portafilter and adjusts to suit your basket, and a removable mat catches stray grounds. Noise is kept down for early mornings.
