La Pavoni Botticelli Specialty: two boilers and hands-on pressure profiling
The Specialty is the flagship of the Botticelli family. Instead of one boiler doing two jobs, it gives coffee and steam a boiler each, and both show their temperature on the twin digital displays above the valves. On top of the group sits the BPPC paddle, which lets you change the pressure reaching the puck while you watch the gauge.
Separate boilers, separate jobs
A 0.6-litre coffee boiler (1000 W) looks after brew water, while a 1.8-litre service boiler (1300 W) supplies steam and hot water. Because the steam side runs independently, milk texturing does not pull heat away from the shot. A professional rotary pump with external adjustment feeds the machine from the 2.9-litre tank or, via a selector switch, from a braided mains connection.
Competizione baskets and shower screen
La Pavoni fits its Competizione shower screen, a photo-engraved membrane that filters to 200 µm and spreads water evenly over the coffee. The matching filter has a convex base designed for bottomless portafilters, with uniform 0.30 mm holes that are electropolished inside and out; each basket is individually tested.

Who should choose the Specialty?
It belongs in a serious home kitchen, or a very small office with one keen operator. If a heat exchanger is enough for your routine, the Botticelli Evoluzione PID costs less. Pair it with a grinder from our domestic grinder range and browse the wider La Pavoni collection. For tampers and jugs, see our barista accessories. Need advice? Ring 1300 529 505.
