Nical 900 – the long-life tank filter

The Nical 900 is the long version of the blue Nical cartridge, ø40.5 × 120 mm. It fits on the intake hose inside the water tank and holds roughly twice the resin of the Nical 450, so it lasts about twice as long.

Capacity

Its weak cation-exchange resin is designed to stop scale forming. Rated output is about 150 L at 18 °fH, 100 L at 27 °fH and 60 L at 45 °fH. Check that your tank is deep enough to take a 120 mm cartridge with the lid closed.

Which machines

For tank-fed machines with a loose intake hose and a deep tank, including many Expobar, Isomac, Rocket, Rancilio and Gaggia tank models. Shallow tanks should use the Nical 450 filter. More options are under coffee machine water filters.
