Rancilio Black Rubber Group Head Seal

This is the Rancilio group head seal in the original black rubber. It measures 74 mm across the outside, 57.5 mm inside and 8.5 mm thick, with notches on the outer edge. If water leaks around the portafilter or the handle swings past six o’clock, the old seal has hardened.

Rubber or silicone?

Rubber is the factory material and gives a firm, positive lock. It hardens slowly with heat, so plan to change it every six to twelve months on a busy machine. If you prefer a softer seal that stays pliable longer, there is a silicone version listed separately.
