Clear-body softener cartridge, 40 × 80 mm

This softener cartridge has a translucent body, so the ion-exchange resin beads are visible inside. It fits on the end of the intake hose in the machine’s water tank and softens the water before it reaches the pump and boiler.

Why soften the water

Even moderately hard tap water leaves scale in boilers, valves and jets over a few months. A cartridge like this lowers the calcium and magnesium load so descaling is needed less often and the taste of the espresso stays cleaner.
