Nickel-Plated 1/4″ Anti-Vacuum Valve
When a boiler cools, the steam inside condenses and pulls a vacuum. The anti-vacuum valve lets air back in so milk is not sucked up the steam wand, then closes again as pressure builds on the next heat-up.
How to Tell It Is Failing
A worn valve either hisses steam after warm-up or sticks shut, which can leave the boiler slow to refill. This one has a short nickel-plated hex body, a brass pin that lifts and drops with pressure, and a 1/4″ BSP male thread.
