Gaggia Anima Barista Plus – Bean-to-Cup Machine with Steam Wand

Gaggia Anima Barista Plus: automatic espresso, manual milk

Not everyone wants a carafe doing the milk for them. The Barista Plus grinds and brews automatically, then hands milk texturing back to you through a professional-style stainless wand. Because the wand sits clear of the body, a small pitcher or a larger jug both fit underneath, and the same outlet pours hot water for tea.

Small adjustments, big difference in the cup

An LCD panel with two-colour icons gives quick access to espresso, espresso lungo and steam. Five grind settings on the ceramic burrs, five Optiaroma strength levels and three temperature steps let you tune each shot to the beans in the hopper. Two cups can brew together, and the water tank, brew unit, drip tray and puck drawer all lift out for washing. Rinsing and descaling are automatic.

Should you pick the Barista Plus?

Pick it for a home kitchen where flat whites are made by hand and bench space is tight. If you would rather press one button for a cappuccino, step up to the Gaggia Anima Prestige.
