Gaggia Magenta Prestige Over Ice: hot and iced coffee from one machine

This version of the Magenta Prestige adds a recipe Australian summers call for. Fill a glass with ice, choose Over Ice on the display, and the machine brews at a lower temperature with a gentler flow, giving a smoother, slightly sweeter cup that does not taste watered down. You can pour two iced coffees at once and lift the strength with the coffee boost option.

Thirteen drinks, one touch each

The menu runs from ristretto, espresso and lungo through americano, cappuccino, café au lait, latte macchiato, flat white and cortado to frothed milk, hot water and the iced recipe. The integrated carafe double-froths milk, cleans itself automatically and can be stored in the fridge. Coffee strength is tuned with a five-step ceramic grinder and five Optiaroma levels, a pre-brew pause adds body, and the brew group lifts out for rinsing. A bypass takes pre-ground decaf, and the Quick Heat boiler means little waiting.
