A specialty coffee icon
This is the AV (automatic volumetric) version: each group has programmable dose buttons, so baristas get the same shot volume every time. Since the early 1990s the Linea Classic has been the machine behind many of the roasters and cafés that built specialty coffee. Its square stainless body and simple controls are instantly recognisable, and it is known for running for years with routine care. La Marzocco builds every machine by hand in Florence, Italy, and the Linea Classic remains one of its best-known models worldwide.
Dual boilers and saturated groups
A dedicated 3.4-litre coffee boiler supplies both saturated groups, keeping brew temperature stable shot after shot, while a separate 7-litre steam boiler handles milk and hot water. Both boilers are insulated, and an electronic PID holds coffee temperature to within about half a degree. Stainless portafilters and precision baskets come standard.
