Mazzer Mini Manual: straightforward and built to last
Some people want a grinder with no electronics to go wrong. The Mini Manual is exactly that: switch it on to fill the doser, switch it off, then sweep out doses with the lever.
Using a doser grinder well
A doser grinder works differently from on-demand models. The Mini Manual fills its doser chamber first, and each pull of the lever sweeps a portion into the portafilter. For the freshest coffee, grind only what you will use soon rather than keeping the doser full, as ground coffee goes stale quickly. Pull the lever a set number of times for your basket and check the result on scales, since each pull delivers a range rather than a fixed weight. Adjust the stepless collar in small amounts and empty the doser after a big change. Brush out the doser chamber regularly to stop old grounds building up.
Small but solid
Its die-cast body is only 168 mm wide, and the stepless micrometric collar gives precise control over grind size.
