Grind-by-time dosing on the Faustino 3.1 works best when you check the result on scales every so often. Beans vary in density and roast, so the same time can deliver a slightly different weight from one bag to the next. Because adjustment is stepless, small turns of the collar make small changes, which helps when a shot is only a little fast or slow. Make one change at a time and pull a test shot before adjusting again.

The hopper suits households that drink the same beans for a week or so. Brush out the chute regularly so stale grounds do not mix into the next dose.
