Domobar Infusion Valve Middle Piston

In a lever group, the middle piston sits in the infusion valve and controls the gentle pre-infusion stage before full pump pressure. This brass piston measures about 60 mm long and 16 mm across, with a triangular pin at one end and a seal washer held by a small nut. A worn seal causes drips from the group or a sudden jump in pressure.

Complete piston

It comes assembled with the pin, seal washer and retaining nut, so it can go straight into the cleaned valve body. Lightly grease the seal with food-safe silicone grease on assembly and check the other group seals while the head is apart.

The old listing names Vibiemme Domobar, Domobar Junior and Domobar Super lever models. Standard E61 groups use the E61 infusion valve middle piston instead, so compare pin shapes. The 165 °C safety thermostat also suits Domobar machines.
