Eureka Otto Semplice: simple, stepless home grinding

Semplice means simple, and that is the whole idea. There is no display, no timer and no menu: hold the portafilter in place, press the button, and stop when the basket looks right. What you do get is the core of an Eureka grinder, including flat hardened-steel burrs and the micrometric adjustment that has earned the brand its reputation with home baristas.

Where the money goes

Rather than spending on electronics, the Otto Semplice puts its value into grind quality. The stepless system moves the lower burr in infinitely fine increments, so you can creep up on the perfect espresso, and you can clean the burrs without losing your setting. The ACE system cuts static and clumping, keeping the bench tidier and the dose more even. It is happy grinding for espresso or a coarser filter brew.
