Mahlkönig E65S GbW: precise doses, repeatable settings

The GbW version of the popular E65S adds a load cell under the portafilter fork. Baristas set a target in grams and the grinder stops when it reaches it, shot after shot.

Sharing recipes with the E65S GbW

Because the display shows the real burr distance, a head barista can write a recipe as a dose weight and burr gap, then share it across shifts or between grinders. That makes training simpler in cafés where several people work the bar.

Grind-by-weight removes the guesswork of timed doses as beans age or humidity changes, and it cuts the waste of overfilled baskets. Keep the load cell and fork clear of grounds, and avoid knocking the portafilter hard on the fork, as that can upset readings. Brush out the chute daily and replace the burrs as they wear.

Disc Distance Detection

Instead of an arbitrary dial number, the display shows the real distance between the burrs, so recipes can be shared between grinders and staff with confidence.
