Mazzer Major Grocery: grind to order at the counter
Delis, grocers and roasters selling whole beans often get asked to grind them. The Major Grocery swaps the doser for a simple spout and bag rest, using the same powerful burrs as the café Major.
Serving whole-bean customers with the Major Grocery
The Major Grocery suits delis, grocers and roasters that sell whole beans and offer grinding at the counter. A manual switch keeps operation simple for staff who are not baristas, and the bag holder steadies packaging while grinding.
Write down common settings for espresso, stovetop, filter and plunger near the grinder so staff can match each customer’s brewer quickly. After a large change in grind size, run a little coffee through to clear the previous setting before filling the customer’s bag. The large hopper saves frequent refills on busy days. Brush out the spout regularly and replace the burrs when grinding slows.
Simple to operate
A manual switch starts and stops grinding, and stepless micrometric adjustment lets staff match each customer’s brew method.
