Coffee Machine Repair Caulfield 3162: Bring It to Our Workshop

Caulfield 3162 is in the City of Glen Eira, the same council area as our workshop. Our technicians work at Rear 1/331 North Road, Caulfield South, so for most Caulfield households the trip is only a few minutes by car.

Being this close means you can bring a machine in as soon as a fault appears instead of living with it. Small problems such as a weeping group gasket or a weak steam wand get worse with use, and water leaking inside the case can reach the wiring.

If you live in Caulfield, you are our closest neighbours. Our workshop entrance is via the laneway off Bambra Road, just behind the Mattress and Pillow Science Shop at the corner of North Road and Bambra Road. Call ahead on 1300 529 505 and we will be ready.

Faults Caulfield Owners Bring Round the Corner

These are common faults we diagnose and repair at the bench, with links to the repair page for each brand.

Rocket Appartamento or Giotto: the pressure gauge swings and shots run hot

On heat exchanger Rockets the pressure stat controls the boiler temperature. When it wears, the boiler swings and the shots follow. We test and replace the stat and check the boiler for scale. More on Rocket repairs.

Breville Barista Express: the grinder runs but little coffee comes out

Usually beans bridging in the hopper, a blocked chute or worn burrs. We clear the chute, check the burrs and reset the grind so the dose is right again. More on Breville repairs.

Jura automatics: coffee drips slowly or the machine stops mid cup

Scale in the heating system or a partly blocked brew unit is the usual cause. We descale under control in the workshop and service the brew unit. More on Jura repairs.

Gaggia Classic: weak steam

Scale in the small boiler or a worn steam valve. We descale the boiler, service the valve and replace its seals. More on Gaggia repairs.

Repair or replace? A heavy E61 or dual boiler machine is almost always worth repairing: pumps, valves, gaskets and sensors are all replaceable. For an entry level automatic, we compare the quote with the price of a new machine and tell you plainly if the repair is not good value before any work starts.

Coffee Machine Repair Caulfield Frequently Asked Questions

I live in Caulfield. How far away is your workshop?

Our workshop is at Rear 1/331 North Road, Caulfield South. Depending on exactly where in Caulfield you live, you may be just a few minutes walk or a very short drive away. We are genuinely your local coffee machine workshop.

Can I bring my machine in without calling ahead?

We strongly recommend calling first on 1300 529 505. While we welcome walk ins, calling ahead ensures the right technician is available for your specific machine brand and that we can give you our full attention rather than fitting you in between other jobs. The call takes one minute and makes the drop off experience much smoother.

More Questions from Caulfield Customers

Do you offer regular maintenance servicing, not just fault repairs?

Yes. We recommend annual or biannual preventive maintenance for home espresso machines, particularly those used daily. A preventive service includes internal descaling, gasket replacement, group head cleaning, pump pressure testing and full function verification. Machines serviced regularly last significantly longer and maintain better shot quality throughout their life.

Can you repair a Rocket espresso machine from Caulfield?

Certainly. We repair Rocket prosumer machines at our workshop. The E61 group head, boiler and heat exchange system all require periodic professional maintenance and we carry the parts and tools to service the full Rocket range properly.

What kinds of faults can you diagnose at the bench?

Reduced extraction pressure, poor milk steaming, unusual noises during brewing and fault codes on automatic machines can all be diagnosed at the bench, and most of them are repairable.
