Profitec is known for close temperature control and tidy internal engineering. We service the Pro 300, Pro 500 and Pro 700, along with other dual-boiler versions. Because these machines are built to tight tolerances, a small problem such as a scaled sensor or a sticking valve can show up as a big change in the cup, so we test temperature and pressure with proper gauges rather than guessing.

Where Profitec faults usually start
Temperature that will not settle
If shots taste bitter one day and flat the next, the temperature controller, its sensor or the heating element is often to blame. Scale coating the element can also confuse the readings. We check each part and recalibrate.
Drips from the group
A hardened gasket or a clogged shower screen lets water escape around the handle and spoils extraction. Replacing them is quick and restores a clean seal.
Dual-boiler pressure problems
On the Pro 700 and similar machines, the steam and brew boilers each have their own valves and safety parts. A weak steam boiler or a relief valve that keeps venting usually comes back to scale or a worn valve seat.
Pump noise and low flow
A louder pump, slow flow into the cup or a pump that labours on start-up can mean a blocked inlet filter or a pump nearing the end of its life.

We advise against it. Dual-boiler machines have sensors and valves that can be damaged by the wrong descaler, so a workshop descale is the safer path.
