Coffee Machine Repair Hampton 3188: Workshop Repairs Close to Home

Hampton 3188 is a Bayside suburb built around Hampton Street. The roughly 7 km run heads up Hampton Street and Milroy Street and finishes on North Road, so it rarely takes long outside peak hour.

Hampton is a vibrant bayside suburb with a café and restaurant scene on Hampton Street that has improved dramatically in recent years, attracting quality operators and raising the local standard for espresso significantly. Hampton residents who invest in quality home machines are measuring their output against cafes that are genuinely excellent.

Hampton's improving café scene has created a new generation of home baristas in the suburb who have discovered the pleasures of quality espresso through the local venues and have subsequently invested in quality home equipment. These are often relatively new machine owners who have not yet experienced the full maintenance requirements of a domestic espresso machine, and our workshop team takes time to educate as well as repair.

Hampton is approximately 14 minutes from our Caulfield South workshop via North Road. Please call 1300 529 505 before dropping your machine off so we can be properly prepared.

Hampton Coffee Machine Repair FAQs

How do I get from Hampton to your workshop?

From Hampton take North Road eastward directly to our workshop at 331 North Road, Caulfield South. Alternatively, travel via the Nepean Highway to Dandenong Road and then to North Road. The drive is approximately 14 minutes.

I am new to home espresso and my Breville keeps producing sour shots. Is this a machine fault?

Sour shots are more often a technique or bean issue than a mechanical fault. Sour espresso usually means underextraction too coarse a grind, too short an extraction time or an incorrect dose. Before bringing the machine in, call us and describe exactly what you are experiencing. We can often help you resolve the issue over the phone without a repair visit.

More Questions from Hampton Customers

My Jura is leaking coffee grounds around the brewing unit. What does this mean?

Coffee grounds around the brewing unit area typically indicate a worn brewing unit seal or a brewing unit that needs cleaning and maintenance. The brewing unit in automatic machines requires periodic professional service. Bring the machine in and we will service the brewing unit properly.

Can you service a machine that makes great coffee but has started making unusual noises?

Yes, and we recommend you do not wait. Unusual noises during brewing or heating almost always indicate a component that is beginning to fail. Catching it early is significantly cheaper than waiting until the component fails completely and potentially damages surrounding parts.

What does a full service of a domestic espresso machine include?

A full workshop service includes internal descaling of the boiler and flow path, replacement of all rubber gaskets and o rings, cleaning of the group head and shower screen, pump pressure testing and calibration, milk system deep cleaning if applicable, and complete function and extraction testing. We leave the machine performing as close to new as possible.
