What goes wrong, and why
Leaks at the group or underneath
Rubber seals age with heat and daily use. Once a group gasket hardens, water escapes around the handle; a perished internal seal shows up as a puddle beneath the machine. Fresh gaskets and a new shower screen usually fix the group, and internal seals are replaced where needed.
Scale in the boiler
Even with a filter, mineral deposits slowly coat the element and narrow the pipes. You may notice slower heating, poorer flow or a temperature that will not settle. A full descale and flush of the water system clears it.
Pressure that drops or swings
Uneven brew pressure produces weak, sour or bitter shots. A worn pump, a blocked jet or an adjustment that has drifted are the common reasons, and each is tested in turn.
A steam wand that has lost its strength
Dried milk in the tip, a leaking steam valve or low boiler pressure can all leave a Grimac wand struggling. We clean, reseal and adjust until it textures milk properly again.
